May 2007 Drill
In the May drill, we had quite a busy month. Having been gone from the armory for several months, we were behind on Admin, Supply and all sorts of other things. It was a working drill where we caught up on all of this, as well as performed a fund raiser by conducting a car wash at a local WalMart. The unit was able to raise nearly $600.00 for their days work. We promoted several to the coveted rank of Petty Officer this month as well. We also lost two shipmates who were piped over in May. Petty Officer 1st Class Kevin Jackson who is off to college, and Seaman Jacob Carlile who is off to the Navy. They will be missed, but always have a home at Halsey.
